United States embassies and consulates
Almost every country has a U.S. embassy in its territory. Some countries also have several consulates.
Interview at the U.S. embassy for visa application
U.S. visa applicants must go to an embassy or consulate as part of the visa application process, with the necessary documentation and a valid passport.
After completing the DS-160 visa application form and paying the application fee, you must attend an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate in the country where you are applying. When booking your appointment, you can choose the diplomatic mission closest to you.
When you go to your appointment, keep in mind that both U.S. embassies and consulates do not allow visitors to enter without an appointment.
Additionally, it is advisable to avoid bringing prohibited objects such as weapons, scissors, and knives, or electronic objects such as cameras, audio recorders, and computers.
