A Visa Application Center (VAC) is an office where U.S. visa applicants must go to have their biometric data appointment. This is an additional step that must be taken before their U.S. visa embassy or consulate interview.

U.S. Visa Application

Indian citizens must make an appointment at a Visa Application Center to have their digital fingerprints and photograph taken. The appointment must be at least 1 day before their visa interview.

There is a U.S. Visa Application Center for each U.S. diplomatic mission in India. U.S. visa applicants must go to the VAC which is in the same city as their embassy or consular interview.
